We where in a particularly good and absolutely perfect location within a close distance from Leeds Town Hall. You could walk to a shopping area and the Christmas market.
The bed was a little firm here.

Very friendly staff at the reception.
I had a room to the backyard. Glass waste was picked up there every day at 4 o'clock, which was very loud.

Beautiful old building. Friendly service and good breakfast. The rooms were clean and well kept.
The beds are very narrow, a little more width would have been great. The quality of the beds, however, was fine.

This place has a fantastic location, just a quick walk to everything; the area around here is really lovely, beds are super comfy, bathrooms are big, and the room even has an iron.

Typical English breakfast: beans, bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, etc, bread rolls with jam or honey, cereals and fresh fruit. Very nice staff. Comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated room. Very quiet location.
Very old house, therefore separate taps for cold and warm (boiling hot) water in the bathroom. The shower was very weak, very little water came out. Unsuitable for washing long hair.

The location was excellent as it's right in the middle of the city centre and allows easy access to all Leeds has to offer.
The car park was absolutely tiny for a hotel of this size. The facilities were minimal, there were functions on both evenings we stayed and there was no residents bar. The bar staff were absolutely hopeless and very unhelpful. The dining area was so small we, as well as numerous other guests, had to sit and wait in the bar for some time before we could be seated for breakfast. The breakfast was awful, in fact, it was so bad we didn't have any on the second day. I very, very rarely complain as I always look to make the best of any break that we arrange but although I really like Leeds I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The Mint on Granary Wharf is a far better option.
